Do you have a mobile site?

Yes we do. If you access our website from a mobile phone, you’ll be automatically taken to the mobile version of our website to make it easier to browse and shop. If you prefer using the main site, you can click on the link at the bottom of the mobile site to take you there.

Can I access all My Account features/services from the mobile site?

Can I access all My Account features/services from the mobile site? Not currently but we’re working on it. You can log-in to your account, check order history, update your personal details and place orders. As soon as we add other features, like Personal Shopping, we’ll let you know.

Do you have an app?

We currently have an app for iPhone customers and will soon be launching an Android app – watch this space! To download the app from your iPhone, simply go to the App store and then search for “House of Fraser”. It’s free to install.

Can I shop on the app?

Yes, you will find most of our products available to buy from the app. We can deliver your order to your home, to a Collect+ point or to a local store. You can also pay by gift voucher and register your Reward card through the app. Download the app now if you haven’t already got it.

Does your app remember my details?

Apps work differently to mobile web browsers. Apps don’t use cookies, so we can’t store your account profile. This means that each time to you use the app, we need to request your details from the website. In My profile if you set auto login to “On”, then the app will do this for you automatically without you having to enter your login details again.

How do I use the scanner on the app?

You can use this feature in our stores. Find the barcode label of an item you are interested in, then press the Scan item on your app. Hold the phone steady (as steady as you can!) and align the barcode with the white guide lines on the app screen. The app will scan the barcode automatically. If this does not work for any reason, tap “Enter manually” and then enter the barcode in the space provided. If you’re really stuck, ask one of our store staff for help.

Why do I need an app?

It really depends on what you use your phone for. If you shop in our local stores, the app has some great features. You can find your local store, find which stores stock your favourite items, check-in online to tell your friends where you are and scan barcodes to get more information about our ranges. We also send our app customer special offers and promotions, so there’s always a benefit to using the app.

The mobile site is slow – why?

Often slow mobile sites are due to poor or lost 3G/WiFi connections. If you’re using an old mobile phone with an old browser, it will also affect performance. If you’re experiencing problems, please check to see if you have a good connection. A simple test is to try a Google search and see if your mobile browser is working. Occasionally, we do experience slow loading on our mobile site. If the problem persists, please let us know so we can investigate
