GIFT CARDS AND VOUCHERS

Gift Cards can be loaded with any amount from £5/€5 to £1000/€1000. You can also top-up your Gift Card in store and check the balance in store or online.

Gift Vouchers are available in denominations of £1, £5, £10, £25, £50 and £100 and the Euro equivalents.

As part of our policy to protect against the fraudulent use of credit cards, we conduct security checks on all our orders. Where vouchers have been used as part tender for an order and the credit / debit card used in conjunction fails fraud checking, the redeemed value against that voucher will not be reversed.

If you intend to enter a voucher code against an order but then fail to do so, we cannot do it retrospectively for you.

Gift Vouchers

How to use your Gift Voucher

House of Fraser Sterling Gift Vouchers are redeemable against any merchandise in UK House of Fraser stores and online at www.houseoffraser.co.uk.

House of Fraser Euro Gift Vouchers are redeemable against any merchandise in House of Fraser, Dundrum, Ireland only.

Multiple Gift Vouchers may be redeemed in the same transaction up to the value of the goods being purchased.

Gift Vouchers must be submitted upon redemption in store.

Exclusions

Gift Vouchers cannot be used to purchase large kitchen appliances or Montgomery made to measure curtains, accessories and fabrics.

Gift Vouchers cannot be used to purchase Gift Cards, Gift Vouchers or financial services.

Gift Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or used as payment on Recognition Card accounts.

Credit from Gift Vouchers

For purchases in store where Gift Vouchers offered have a greater value than the goods being purchased, change above £4.99 / €4.99 will be returned as a House of Fraser Gift Card.

Expiration, loss or damage

Gift Vouchers will expire on the date marked on the Gift Voucher. Gift Vouchers presented after their expiry date will be treated as void and are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

Please treat Gift Vouchers as cash in terms of security. Gift vouchers cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged.

Gift Vouchers are void if either the perforated tear-off area or scratch-off panel has been removed.

House of Fraser reserves the right to refuse to accept a Gift Voucher which it deems to have been tampered with, duplicated, damaged or which otherwise is suspected to be affected from fraud.

Returns or refunds

Gift Vouchers cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with your legal rights.

Old style House of Fraser Gift Vouchers which display the stag logo are no longer valid and must be replaced with the current design Gift Vouchers. Please visit your local store to arrange replacements.

Ordering online with a Gift Voucher

Where Gift Vouchers have been used as tender for an online order (whether in whole or in part), any item that is returned within that order will be refunded first in eVouchers to the same value that was originally spent in Gift Vouchers. Any remaining balance will then be refunded to the payment card (if used).

For purchases where Gift Cards offered have a greater value than the goods being purchased, no change will be given but the balance may be applied to future purchases.

Customers must present the Gift Card in order to make purchases in store.

Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase Gift Cards, Gift Vouchers or financial services.

Temporary Recognition Cards may not be used to activate or top-up a Gift Card.

Expiration, loss or damage

The Gift Card will expire 24 months from date of last load, e.g. card activation, top-up or refund. At expiry, any remaining balance will be lost.

Please protect your Gift Card and treat it as cash. House of Fraser cannot be held liable for Gift Cards which, once activated, are subsequently lost, stolen or damaged.

House of Fraser reserves the right to refuse to accept a Gift Card which it deems to have been tampered with, duplicated, damaged or which otherwise is suspected to be affected from fraud.

Returns or refunds

Gift Cards cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with your legal rights.

If any product purchased with a Gift Card is exchanged or refunded, any money owing will be added to the balance on the Gift Card.

eVouchers

House of Fraser may issue eVouchers to a customer if

1. you have paid for goods using a Gift Voucher, Gift Card or an eVoucher in full or partial payment of an order; or
2. the customer services team offer eVoucher/s as recompense for an error we have made.

How to use your eVoucher

House of Fraser eVouchers are redeemable against any merchandise online at www.houseoffraser.co.uk and cannot be redeemed in store.

Multiple eVouchers may be redeemed in the same transaction up to the value of the goods being purchased.

How To Use Your Gift Cards and Vouchers In Store and Online

Present your gift card in House of Fraser for payment of merchandise in store and online at houseoffraser.co.uk. The amount of any purchase will be deducted from the balance on the gift card. If the gift card holds insufficient funds to pay the total amount of the purchase, the remainder of the balance can be paid by any accepted method of payment.

ONLINE GIFT CARD REDEMPTION

To use a gift card in full or part payment for orders made online:

• When proceeding to checkout, select 'Pay with a gift card.'
• Enter the 16 digit number on the back of the card in the box marked 'gift card number.'
• Scratch off the foil box on the back of the card to reveal the PIN number and enter this in the box marked 'gift card PIN code.'
• Select the 'Redeem' button to proceed with the payment.

If the value of items purchased online is less than the total value of the gift card, you can re-enter the same card details on another occasion to redeem the remaining balance on your card. Alternatively the outstanding balance can be spent in store.

If the value of items purchased online is more than the total value of the gift card, you will need to pay the balance using additional gift cards, or a credit/debit card, or the Recognition MasterCard, Account Card and FraserCard.

If you decide not to complete the order or are unable to do so, it will take at least 48 hours to re-credit the balance of your gift card and the funds will be unavailable to spend during this time.

Please note gift cards cannot be used to purchase large kitchen appliances, Bivolino custom-fit shirts, Montgomery made to measure curtains, financial services, or to purchase gift cards and vouchers.

ONLINE GIFT VOUCHER REDEMPTION

To use a gift voucher in full or part payment for orders made online:

• When proceeding to checkout, select 'Pay with a voucher.'
• Scratch off the silver foil in the top left hand corner of the voucher and enter the seven digit code when prompted.
• Select the 'Check Balance' button to identify the value of the gift voucher.
• If you wish to proceed with the payment, select 'Spend Now' to complete the transaction.

If the value of items purchased online is less than the total value of the gift voucher, you can re-enter the same voucher code on another occasion to redeem the remaining balance on your voucher.

If the value of items purchased online is more than the total value of the gift voucher, additional gift vouchers can be used, or a credit/debit card, as well as the Recognition MasterCard, Account Card and FraserCard.

PLEASE NOTE: once you have scratched off the silver foil, you will NOT be able to use the gift voucher in store. It can then only be used online. Once the total value has been used online, the voucher will be void.

If items purchased online with a gift voucher are returned, a refund will be given in the form of an e-voucher, which can only be used online. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Please note gift vouchers cannot be used to purchase large kitchen appliances, Bivolino custom-fit shirts, Montgomery made to measure curtains, financial services, or to purchase gift cards and vouchers.

Ordering & Delivery

HOW THE PROCESS OF BUYING VOUCHERS WORKS

• As soon as you place your order, our voucher department will send you an email informing you that your order has been received and is being processed.
• Two days before your requested delivery date, our voucher department will send you another email informing you that your order has been despatched.
• If there is a problem with your order, we will contact you via email. This will normally occur on the same day you placed your order.
• On some occasions, we may be unable to process an order; if this is the case, we will send you an email explaining why your order failed. You may need to visit our website to place another order, using a different form of payment.

ORDER ERRORS

If you've made an error on your order, please ring our helpline on 0871 384 3531 and we will do our best to correct it.

REFUNDS

Regrettably, once vouchers have been despatched, we are unable to offer a refund.

DELIVERY DETAILS

• If there is no-one available to sign for the vouchers on arrival, a card will be left by the postman informing the occupant that an attempted delivery was made. • The Gift Vouchers will then be taken to the nearest Royal Mail Enquiry Office, where they will await collection by the recipient.
• We can deliver to addresses in the Channel Islands and the Scottish islands and any BFPO address. However, we regret that we are unable to deliver to other international addresses.
• Please note that House of Fraser vouchers can only be spent at stores in the UK, Ireland and online.
