Terms & Conditions

VOUCHER TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. House of Fraser Sterling gift vouchers are redeemable against any merchandise in UK House of Fraser stores only. House of Fraser Euro gift vouchers are redeemable against any merchandise in House of Fraser, Dundrum, Ireland only.
2. Gift vouchers can be redeemed online (exclusions apply). Please see the Voucher Redemption section for more information.
3. Multiple vouchers may be redeemed in the same transaction up to the value of the goods being purchased.
4. Gift vouchers are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash or used for the purchase of gift vouchers or gift cards via the House of Fraser website.
5. Gift vouchers cannot be used as payment on Recognition MasterCard accounts in the UK or on House of Fraser MasterCard accounts in Ireland.
6. Gift vouchers cannot be used to purchase financial services.
7. For purchases in store, where Sterling vouchers offered have a greater value than the goods being purchased, change above £4.99 will be returned as a House of Fraser gift card.
8. For purchases in store, where Euro vouchers offered have a greater value than the goods being purchased, change above €4.99 will be returned as a House of Fraser gift card.
9. Gift vouchers must be submitted upon redemption in store. Gift vouchers redeemed online can only be used once.
10. Gift vouchers cannot be accepted for the payment of House of Fraser large kitchen appliances or mobile phones.
11. Gift vouchers will expire on the date marked on the voucher. Gift vouchers presented after their expiry date will be treated as void and are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
12. Please treat gift vouchers as cash. Gift vouchers cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged. Gift vouchers are void if either the perforated tear-off area or scratch-off panel has been removed.
13. Gift vouchers cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with your legal rights.
14. House of Fraser reserves the right to refuse to accept a voucher which it deems to have been tampered with, duplicated, damaged or which otherwise is suspected to be affected from fraud.
15. Old style House of Fraser gift vouchers which display the stag logo are no longer valid and must be replaced with the current design gift vouchers. Please visit your local store to arrange replacements. If the value of your voucher is £50 or less, these can be used immediately as payment in store.
16. House of Fraser reserves the right to change any of these terms and conditions from time to time without notice and to take appropriate action including cancellation of the voucher if, at its discretion, it deems such action necessary.

GIFT CARDS

How to use your Gift Card

Present your Gift Card in House of Fraser for payment of merchandise in store and online at houseoffraser.co.uk. The amount of any purchase will be deducted from the balance on the Card. If the Gift Card holds insufficient funds to pay the total amount of the purchase, the remainder of the balance can be paid by any accepted method of payment.

To top-up your Gift Card in a House of Fraser store

Present your Gift Card at any till point in store and inform the sales adviser of the amount to be added. (Minimum £5 or €5, maximum £1,000 or €1,000).

Gift Card terms and conditions

1. The Gift Card is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card.
2. Gift Cards can be activated with a minimum value of £5 or €5 and have a maximum value limit of £1,000 or €1,000.  Gift Cards can be topped up in stores to the maximum value limit.
3. Gift Cards are only redeemable for merchandise in House of Fraser stores in the United Kingdom and Ireland and online at www.houseoffraser.co.uk (exclusions apply). Please note, Gift Cards cannot be used for the redemption of large kitchen appliances or mobile phones.
4. Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase gift vouchers or gift cards online at houseoffraser.co.uk
5. The Gift Card cannot be use for telephone/mail order purchases.
6. Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash, used as payment on Recognition MasterCard accounts or to purchase financial services.
7. No change will be given but the balance may be applied to future purchases.
8. Temporary Recognition Cards may not be used to activate or top-up a Gift Card.
9. The Gift Card will expire 24 months from date of last load e.g. card activation, top-up or refund. At expiry, any remaining balance will be lost.
10. Gift Cards cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with your legal rights.
11. Please protect this Card and treat it as cash.  House of Fraser cannot be held liable for Gift Cards, once activated, which are subsequently lost, stolen or damaged. 
12. If any product purchased with a Gift Card is exchanged or refunded, any money owing will be added to the balance on the Card.
13. Customers must be present with the Gift Card in order to make purchases in store.
14. House of Fraser reserves the right to refuse to accept a Gift Card which it deems to have been tampered with, duplicated, damaged or which otherwise is suspected to be affected from fraud.
15. House of Fraser reserves the right to change any of these terms and conditions from time to time without notice and to take appropriate action including cancellation of the card if, at its discretion, it deems such action necessary (eg. to change the scope of the Gift Card service, notify of the service’s withdrawal or in the event of circumstances beyond its control).
16. If you have made an online payment with a Gift Card and you would like to return your purchases, please note that you will be refunded the amount in eVouchers, even if you paid the first part of your purchase with House of Fraser (in store) vouchers, followed by eVouchers.
