Molton Brown – London via the World
Mayfair, London, 1973. In a small hair salon (with rooms above), where big ideas were bubbling, plants and herbs were blended and bottled by hand, straight into the hands of some of the city’s coolest customers. Molton Brown’s reputation grew and the salon changed into the first Molton Brown store. At around this time Founding Chemist Dale Daxon Bowers joined the team. A globetrotter and free-thinker, Dale returned from far-flung places to her Mayfair lab, with inspiration for characterful blends. Creamy lipsticks in tropical shades, colourful bathing gels with exotic scents, grooming products for the man about town: Molton Brown was evolving into the company we know today.
A few decades (and some iconic blends) later, Molton Brown is now famous across the world. NaranJi Fine Liquid Hand Wash (a bestseller since the 90’s), multi-award winning Re-charge Black Pepper Bodywash and travel sets for every need are now essentials for every beauty editor. You’ll find Molton Brown in luxury hotels and stylish homes across the world; from Japan to Australia, from New York to London, the brand’s home. Across over 70 countries, they’ve gained the reputation of being London’s bath, body and beauty connoisseurs.
