Make your own Christmas Wreath Chandelier

THIS YEAR’S CENTREPIECE

Prepare a large (60cm) Christmas wreath by separating out the bushy branches. Use a wreath of fresh pine and foliage or buy an artificial version that can be re-used year after year.

Measure wired ribbon or rope (it needs to be strong!) to double the length you want the chandelier to be hung and run through a metal curtain ring before attaching to opposite sides of the wreath.

Decorate with baubles of your choice or interesting novelty decorations which you can attach using wire or the leftover ribbon.

Use the curtain ring to attach to ceiling.

COSY CORNERS

At Christmas time it is the little touches that count in all parts of the home. The foot of a staircase is a perfect place to create a homely candle-lit corner with glass lanterns. Fill a vase with baubles leftover from the tree and branches from the garden which you can hang with a mix of decorations.

Christmas tree branches make beautiful table settings. Twist into a circle and tie the ends using wire and ribbon. Attach a gift tag and write the names of your Christmas lunch guests.
