Willow bough was designed by William Morris for wallpaper in 1887 and can be seen in Jane Morris? bedroom at Kelmscott Manor as well as many other Morris houses. A naturalistic treatment of one of Morris? favourite themes, it continues to be one of his best loved designs. The elegant foliage pattern is coloured in a palette of soft green tones set on an ivory ground. The duvet cover, oxford pillowcase and quilted throw are self reversing and edged with fine cord piping. A wall hanging from Kelmscott Manor provided the inspiration for the embroidered accessory cushion and the Acanthus matelasse cotton throw adds a final layer to the bed.
