Pine is an extremely popular softwood for making outdoor furniture. Our Pine is carefully sourced from responsibly managed forests in Eastern Europe. Each piece has been pressue treated in order to make it suitable for outdoor use. The timber has a figurative grain and the yellow/green colour will mellow over time to an attractive silver/grey. This rustic collection of furniture is practical, space-saving and suitable for all budgets. Your furniture can be cleaned using warm soapy water and a soft brush.
Careless handling can damage furniture, lift rather than drag.
From time to time re-tighten all bolts
Our Pine furniture has been pre-treated to make it suitable for outdoor use. However, once every couple of years we do recommend treating the furniture using our specially formulated Timber Sealer to prolong the life of the pine furniture. Other products we recommend to make the weathering process more gradual is Cuprinol and Ronseal. Please ensure you consult the instructions on these products before applying as any changes to the appearance of the timber will void the warranty of the item.
Things to remember.
Black spotting can occur through tannic acid which is present in the timber and natural airborne spores. Should this happen to your furniture, it will not affect the strength, durability or quality of the wood. This can easily be removed by applying a mould and mildew cleaner available in supermarkets and hardware stores.
As our timber furniture starts the weathering process, cracks and splits will appear in the wood. This is due to the evaporation of natural oils and minerals when the wood is exposed to the natural elements. Natural weathering will also not affect the strength or durability of the wood.
