Pick out pops of colour
Start with a simple colour scheme (we love Scandi-approved grey, navy and natural wood) and add pops of punchy colour. Fruits like lemons and pomegranates – aka nature’s eye candy - are perfect.
Add some gorgeous greenery
Succulents and sprigs of foliage may be Instagram-approved, but you can’t grab a handful for your dinner. Try a potted herb in the kitchen – bonus points for anything fragrant like basil or rosemary.
Vary your heights
Play with height and depth to add interest and create a bit of balance. Try sitting taller items like chopping boards and recipe books behind jars and pots, and look for curved shapes to soften hard edges.
Add polish with marble
Marble’s clean lines have long been the interior stylist’s shortcut to chic, and it works so well with everything from natural wood to metallics. Space out a few accents to keep it all feeling curated.
If it’s stackable, stack it. We’re big fans of the wonky stack – not only is it a space-saver, but it looks effortless (no one needs to know). Just make sure everyday basics like bowls and tumblers are at arm’s reach.
Stock up on everyday essentials
Have you ever considered the aesthetic appeal of different grains and pulses in assorted jars? Now you have. If you’re not convinced by having labels on show, just add them to the bottom.
