10 tonal pieces that prove brown is the new black

There's no two ways about it: browns, camels and beiges are the dominant shade of AW19 and you'll be hard-pressed to escape them this winter. The universally flattering hue is a great alternative to black, warming your features rather than draining them: ginger and rust zing on pale skin, and darker skin tones make caramel shades pop. Cast aside any association with your old Brownie uniform, brown shades are the most contemporary and cool around right now – and these are our favourite ways to wear them.
