Having begun working for William Morris as a teenager, John Henry Dearle was devoted to William Morris and designed many patterns on behalf of his mentor and friend.
In this Midnight colourway, the design takes on a moody, refined elegance. A deep inky navy forms the backdrop, allowing soft blue berries, creamy ivory petals and golden ochre blooms to glow against the darkness.
