Slow-growing, ornamental shrubs with erect sprays of bright green, aromatic foliage, the Emerald Thuja is a colourful way to add height and structure to your beds and borders.
Perfectly happy as a container plant, anyone can grow this garden gem, whether you have a large garden or a compact terrace or balcony.
Easy to grow, 'Smaragd' (or the White Cedar as it is sometimes referred to) is a great plant for both new and experienced gardeners as it requires little to no maintenance - its growth is naturally narrow, so it doesn't need regular pruning to keep its shape.
Hardy down to -45C, thuja are also extremely tolerant of the cold, just needing protection from drying winter wind especially while it is young. The perfect plant for flower beds and borders, Thuja Smaragd excels in city and courtyard gardens, cottage and informal gardens, gravel and rock gardens as well as on the patio in a container.
Supplied as 12 established plants in 9cm pots, ready for immediate planting. Grows to around 2.5m x 2.5m. Please note: This product cannot be delivered to Northern Ireland.
