One of the oldest department stores in the world, Jenners has been trading as far back as 1838. While the original architecture was destroyed by a fire in 1892, the re-designed Victorian building has been open to the public since 1895.
Acquired by House of Fraser in 2005, the listed building has become as famous for its world class retail offering as its stunning architecture, complete with caryatid statues that have supported it for over 120 years and a royal warrant that has been held since the year 1911. Upon entry, Jenners beauty hall displays a vast array of products from leading brands such as Chanel, Dior, Lancôme and Crème de la Mer, with clothing departments on the ground and first floor showcasing the likes of Hugo Boss, Emporio Armani, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein.
The second, third and fourth floors play host to premium homeware goods, including a recently developed furniture department featuring Natuzzi and Harris Tweed. Here you’ll also find an exclusive art gallery where guests can enjoy a glass of wine and peruse work from both local and international artists. And the fifth and final floor features both the Regis and Clarins Spa, offering extensive hair, beauty and body treatments.
Alongside an established restaurant, Jenners features three coffee bars, including the famed Valvona & Crolla (V&C) and its subsequent foodhall. For over 80 years, V&C has showcased artisan produce, delivering the finest in handmade Scottish goods and gifts, including cashmere, silks and tartans.
