Its commonly understood that effective hydration levels support optimal performance and muscle function during strenuous exercise, in warm environments, or where activities that take place over longer periods of time. However, water alone just isn’t enough to maintain this complex system of optimal hydration and electrolyte balances, and our hassle-free solution quickly dissolves in water to provide a functional hydration solution.
If fluid and electrolyte losses are not replaced during and after activity, dehydration occurs. This imbalance in electrolytes, combined with a loss of fluid, causes detrimental physiological effects that impact performance and your ability to recover adequately – increase in core temperatures, reduction in nutrient absorption, increase in heart rate, increased carbohydrate depletion and an increase in muscle loss along with a sharp decline in performance are the typical side effects that can be avoided.
Add one effervescent tablet into water, and consuming during or after activity will work to increase your electrolyte uptake and availability. This product forms part of the Informed Sport programme.
