As a PWM fan (Pulse-Width Modulation) it’s rotation speed can be user controlled by connecting the fan to a compatible motherboard or a compatible controller - PWM allows the computer to control the fan speed depending on current temperature & workload, as well as letting the user set the current speed via software settings, allowing for seamless control of the cooling of your PC.
