The Dawes Elegance combines the best of both worlds – the joy of an electric bike in a timeless heritage design that is usually reserved for our popular Dawes Cambridge and Duchess bikes.

The Elegance frame takes visual inspiration from traditionally made steel frames but instead uses a lightweight aluminium frame to make cycling more comfortable and the bike easier to control. The comfortable geometry and balanced ride give you the freedom and confidence to enjoy riding around town, local country parks and even down your local canal towpath.

The 375wh battery is neatly housed within the rear pannier rack, delivers up to 40 miles/64km of range and can be charged from flat in 5 hours. The added security of a key lock for the battery gives you peace of mind when parked up in a public place, and the battery can be easily removed from the rack to charge on or off the bike.

The bike is powered by the reliable Bafang rear hub motor system that delivers 32nm of torque, making light work of hills and flat terrain riding a breeze.

Select from 5 different power modes depending on how much assistance you want, using the sleek and easy to use LED handlebar display that shows current battery level and speed. We’ve also fitted a walk assist mode that engages the motor to help drive the bike when pushing up steeper hills.

Fitted with a 7-speed Shimano Tourney gear system with Revoshift twist style shifter for easy gear changes, and super-low maintenance V-brakes. The puncture protected tyres provide an extra layer of protection against unwanted punctures while the ergonomically shaped grips and a soft Selle Royal Freeway saddle make the Elegance a superbly comfortable ride.

The handlebars on the Elegance sweep up and back towards the rider for an upright and comfortable riding position and further adjustments can be made with the adjustable stem to tailor fit the bike to you.

The Elegance comes fully equipped with a pannier rack, full-length mudguards and chainguard to keep you as dry and clean as possible whatever the weather and lastly the included kickstand means the bike can be parked and stored away safely once you arrive at your destination.

The Elegance has a classically styled low step frame that makes getting on-and-off the bike quick and easy, and is suitable for riders 5’0” to 5’10” (152cm to 178cm).

Extra Information: This bike will arrive 85% assembled in the manufacturers packaging and needs to be built when it arrives. We supply a basic set of tools with every bike to aid assembly. It is recommended that the bike is taken to a local cycle shop to complete assembly.
