Hoka's Skyward X 2 stacks a dual density Pebax midsole under an engineered mesh upper that drops the stiff forefoot overlays of the original, so there's give across the toes. An internal heel counter locks your foot down over a 5mm drop, and at roughly 247g it stays lean for a maximum stack trainer.
