Cast iron has been used as the cooking material of choice for hundreds of years. It comes up to temperature steadily and distributes heat evenly for optimum results.
This square griddle pan is suitable for all types of heat source, including gas, electric, ceramic/halogen and induction hobs and can also be used in the oven as well as on open camp fires and barbecues.
Made from pre-seasoned cast iron, the VonShef griddle pan is non-stick. The seasoning process involves baking vegetable oil on to the surface at a high temperature, creating a naturally non-stick surface, without the need for any chemical coating. You can easily maintain the surface by rubbing in a little fresh oil after washing in soap and water.
The raised griddle surface allows any fat to drain away and the lip on the side of the pan enables easy disposal of cooking liquids.
The VonShef pan can be used to sear, fry, sauté, grill, roast and bake – all the while applying the classic grill marks for great-looking food and authentic taste. Perfect for cooking bacon, steaks and other meat, poultry and fish as well as griddling vegetables.
