Candy Cane Sorrel is an unusual treasure guaranteed to attract attention, with twisting crimson and white stripes that look remarkably like candy canes.
These charming bulbous perennials provide a joyful splash of colour each year, just as other plants are beginning to slow down.
Expect dependable colour from late summer into winter. The plants form tidy mounds of green foliage and grow easily in patio pots or towards the front of a border.
Eye-catching when fully open, the flowers are particularly striking in bud, displaying vivid crimson-pink stripes that inspired the common name 'Candy Cane Sorrel'. Bright white, funnel-shaped blooms edged with colour make this delightful plant genuinely distinctive.
When the flowers have finished, the striped oxalis still provides interest through its mound of spring-emerging green foliage, bringing gentle texture and colour to your display.
