'Lipstick' boast a lovely blended colour palette of pink, red, white and all the blush colours between, often with characteristic fuchsia pink lipstick markings to the petals, making them something quite different and unique.
Forget big and bold showy Gladioli, these are understated beauties, plant them in groups of five or 10, mixed into borders, for reliable summer colour. Good for cut flowers too, despite being shorter stemmed, they still bring character and style to fresh indoor vase displays - get them on your shelf, table, or windowsill.
