Beautiful and easy to grow Bay Trees, simply stunning in pots either side of a door or pathway, or in pride of place on the patio. The lush foliage has a mouth-watering flavour and a rich aroma and can be added to marinades or used to add depth to cooking all year round.
Easy to maintain, these thrive in moist, but well-drained soil, positioned in full sun or partial shade. Ensure you prune back in December, January, and February to keep your trees looking healthy, year after year. Bay leaves have a spicy, peppery, aromatic flavour and are commonly used in curries, soups and stews.
Leaves can be used fresh or you can harvest and dry them in summer, to give them a more robust flavour, before storing for up to a year. Dried leaves can also be brewed to make a healthy and delicious herbal tea. The wood can be used to smoke meat, giving it a distinct flavour.
These 70-80cm tall plants are supplied ready to gift, each intricately hand-wrapped in a timeless brown hessian bag, with a beautiful green fabric bow. Please note: This product cannot be delivered to Northern Ireland.
