First in the series: festive glam, with an easy-to-follow Christmas party or Christmas Day makeup look.

This fun yet wearable look is designed to flatter everyone, making it a fail-safe choice for the festive season. The beauty of it lies in its versatility; you can tailor it to suit your own style by playing with colour. Opt for romantic pinks, warm jewel tones, or golden hues that glow under party lights.
Stay tuned as we break down how to recreate that look step by step, sharing the tips and techniques from makeup artist Diana Macoveiu that make all the difference...

Step 1: Build a seamless base
Use a light-coverage, water-based foundation for a natural, flawless look. Spot-conceal with a cream concealer wherever needed to perfect your canvas.
Step 2: Go monochromatic
Choose one colour family for your eyes, cheeks and lips. Pinks and warm tones are preferred but pick shades that suit you. Add a hint of shimmer with golden shades for extra glam. You can go all out!
Step 3: Contour your eyes
Using a small, angled brush, take a dark chocolate brown eyeshadow on the crease, upper and lower lash line to contour and define your eyes. Do this before you apply your concealer so you can easily clean up any draw out to sharpen the look.
Step 4: Apply cluster lashes
Place cluster lashes underneath your lashes rather than on top for extra volume that still looks natural.
Step 5: Set with a light veil
Dust a blurring setting powder, like Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder, to keep makeup looking flawless in photos - and in person.
Step 6: Apply cream blush
Swipe a cream blusher on your cheeks, then lock it in with a setting spray for a long-lasting look.
Step 7: Define your lips
Line your lips and fill them in with the matching lipstick. Reapply as needed for polished finish.
