This variety mixes well with dahlias, coleus, ornamental grasses, salvias and other hot-coloured summer bedding where its speckled flowers and strong foliage can really stand out. It also works nicely as a single specimen in a decorative pot, where the flower shape and leaf texture can be appreciated up close.
Grow it in a sunny, sheltered position in fertile, moisture-retentive but free-draining soil. Water regularly in dry weather and feed during active growth to keep the flowers coming. Deadheading spent blooms helps keep the display looking fresh. In colder areas, protect from frost and overwinter somewhere sheltered or frost free.
