Commonly known as Russian sage, these plants produce dramatic and bushy displays of green foliage, with strong emerging stems of lavender flowers that grow in spikes.
In July, plants erupt into colour earlier than other sage varieties and will remain strong through to October, bringing months of interest to any garden display.
These hardy perennials boast an impressive growth rate, are very easy to grow, and are ready to withstand even the harshest British winter weather, as well as hot and dry conditions.
