Some interviewees take a thematic approach to party dressing. “ I would wear a ballerina outfit,” Rosie (3) confirms, “with my sparkly tap shoes and my hair tied up.” “I would dress up as a present!” Emma (7) exclaims.
A defining factor is all decision makers know exactly the look they want. Brooke (12) would wear “a black skater skirt, black tights, platform ankle suede boots and a white, off-the-shoulder top.” Barney (5), meanwhile, says “I’d be a snowman with candy because I love Christmas and snow and candy.”
From our extensive fieldwork research, we’ve deduced kids have great taste. Left to their own devices they’d pick fun combos, expressing their personalities, that are lot more exciting than the archetypal party looks. So, from crunching the data, we’re taking inspo from our eveningwear experts and have pulled together four great party looks to shop now. “Parties are fun!” Maisie exclaims. We couldn’t agree more.
